How it works

Three lines, not three searches.

Most trackers make you find every ingredient in a database and weigh it. Stampra starts from the photo and lets you correct it, not the other way round.

Snap the plate

Camera or gallery. Add a note if something's hidden: "brown rice, no sauce".

Read the range

Items, portions and a kcal band like 540–680. Never a fake-precise 611. Tap a portion size to scale the estimate up or down.

Stamp the day

Intake, protein, training and meals logged today roll into one Balance score. Training days get a higher target automatically.

Everything in one book

Food and training on the same page.

§1

Photo estimates with a range

Australian foods and serving sizes. HSP, parma, Tim Tams: it knows them, and it tells you how sure it is. Kilojoules or calories, your choice.

§2

Strength log with PRs

Templates, last-session pre-fill, rest timer, weekly volume, personal-record flags in the margin. New to the gym? A free starter pack covers what to wear, what to bring and your first week.

§3

Training-aware targets

Logged a session? Your calorie and protein targets flex for that day, not for a weekly average.

§4

Progress that means something

Balance trend, energy against target, volume, and a rolling average of your last 7 weigh-ins so daily noise doesn't rattle you.

§5

A real student plan

Verify with your .edu.au email and pay $3.49 a month for 60 scans a day and custom macro targets.

§6

Full web app

The same book in your browser, not a read-only dashboard.

§7

Voice log

No photo? Say or type what you ate and get the same range. Each one counts as one of the day's scans.

§8

AI trainer

Ask a coach that knows your logged workouts, or have it write a programme saved as templates. General guidance, not medical advice.

§9

Meal planner

Plans built around your targets, diet, allergies, budget and cooking time, with a shopping list. Always check labels for allergens. Curious about supplements? A free guide covers what the evidence says, food first, with no brands.

FAQ

Straight answers.

How accurate is the photo estimate?

It's an estimate, not a measurement. You get a range and a confidence level instead of one number, because hidden oils, sauces and portion sizes are hard to judge from a photo. Check the portions and edit anything that looks off before you save.

Who qualifies for the Student plan?

Anyone with an active university, TAFE or college email (.edu, .edu.au, .ac.uk and similar, plus an allowlist of Australian institutions). We email a code, you enter it, done. You'll re-verify once a year.

What happens to my photos and voice logs?

Photos are resized on your device and sent for analysis, and we don't store them. For a voice log, your phone's speech service (Apple or Google), or your browser's on the web, turns your words into text. Only the text is sent for analysis, and we don't store it. None of it is used to train models. Your meals, workouts and weight stay on your phone, and you can delete your account from inside the app.

Is this medical advice?

No. Stampra estimates food and tracks training. It does not diagnose or treat anything. If you have a medical condition or an eating disorder history, talk to a professional before using any tracker. The AI trainer and meal planner give general information and can be wrong. They're not a substitute for a doctor, dietitian or physio.

What does the AI trainer see?

To answer, it sends your last few messages, a short profile summary and a summary of your recent workouts for processing. The conversation stays on your device and we don't store it on our servers. Pro gets 30 messages a day, Student 5 a day and Free 3 a week. If something hurts, stop and see a GP or physio.

How does the meal planner work?

Tell it your diet, allergies, dislikes, budget and cooking time. It writes a plan aimed at your targets, with a shopping list: 7 days (3 meals a day) on Pro, 3 days (2 meals a day) on Student, and a sample plan on Free. It's general guidance for healthy adults, not clinical nutrition advice. Always check labels for allergens.

Do you recommend supplements?

No. We don't sell supplements, name brands or take money from supplement companies. Stampra has a free supplement guide, on every plan. It sets out what the evidence generally says about common supplements, based on Australian sport and health guidance, and it puts food first. It's general information, not medical advice. Supplements can interact with medicines and health conditions, so check with your GP or pharmacist before you start one.

Kilojoules or calories?

Either. Pick the one you like in settings.

Does the web app do everything the phone app does?

It has the same features, except the camera on desktop (you upload a photo instead). Your meals and workouts are kept in the browser you use, so they aren't shared between your phone and your computer.
